11.23.2010, A Time for Giving!

For the past several years, Creative Dental Solutions and other local businesses have combined efforts to provide Christmas gifts for local families. We work with the guidance counselors at several local elementary schools. The counselors identify the families who are in most need and who may not be getting help elsewhere. They give us a list of families, with the first names of each family member along with their usually very modest gift requests. Each business adopts a family, providing each of the children with a few new toys, new clothes, and if possible a food basket and/or Hannaford food voucher to purchase food and necessities. The businesses wrap and deliver the gifts to the child’s school, and the guidance department/social worker sees that they are delivered.

We were able to help 16 families last year, and there is an even greater need this year. We would welcome any businesses or individuals who would like to work with us in this endeavor. For more information, please contact Susan Shaw at 942-3000. Thank-you.
