Sleep Apnea
Dr. Sevey has just returned from Orlando, Florida, where he attended a 2 day seminar on the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea with dental appliances. The seminar was hosted by the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. Obstructive sleep apnea is a growing problem in this country that has many ramifications that are not just related to restless sleep. Other problems include increased risk of heart attack, stroke and high blood pressure. Dr. Sevey works with local sleep laboratories and physicians who treat obstructive sleep apnea to provide alternatives to CPAP machines, which many people find intolerable. If you have been diagnosed with sleep apnea or have any questions about dental appliances to treat sleep apnea, please give us a call to set up a consultation.
